Back again
NO time, I tell you. It doesn't exist for me anymore. It is now filled with boxes and things thrown about the house waiting to be put into something or given away (or as my husband would like, thrown away but I'm too much of a recycler of stuff to let that happen! Someone else could use it!) Utter chaos, utter entropy, which is swallowing me up, but fortunately has not chewed me up and spit me out yet. Massaging like crazy I am, too. My brain is way too full and if I don't write down what needs to be done it will scatter to the wind.

But I'm so excited!!! Hubby is up there as we speak scraping windows, painting rooms and feeling generally forlorn since the windows are basically crap. I say it's no biggie since we will most likely only be there for a year. Such big changes around the corner for us, he should be excited, too! He'll get over it once we there and all of our stuff is boxed and moved. It's such a large pain in the ass and I will only do it one more time. The next place we move to we will own, and we will stay there until we're shriveled and aged.

There was a big parade this past weekend! Old Home Days in Rupert are so much fun. This year I was in the parade with my sis, my son, my niece and nephew and various other children and adults. The theme was "Mardi Gras in Rupert". You can laugh, it's funny. What we all did was dress up and dance down the street. I made this mask (I'll post a picture of it as soon as I remember that I need to do that) of chicken wire and papier mache and it looks a lot like a phoenix. I painted it red and yellowy, added feathers (including a red feather boa off the top) and sparkly jewels. It was so much fun to do that I think I may have to explore this medium further. My sis made this amazing tree man. The older boys dressed as skeletons (the kind you see in Mardi Gras parades) and carried drums and danced crazy dances. The little kids wore streamers and puffy wings. Griffyn was a dragon. He decided to do his version of break dancing for the crowd. What a ham!!! He was so cute and many pictures were taken of everybody. We even won second place for best family float. My mom made this huge papier mache cow called "Queen Holstein" which she pulled. She dressed up like an ear of corn and wore this spooky mask under her corn hat (also made of papier mache). She's so tricky. All in all a wonderful time. Parades are so much fun, especially when they are filled with homeade floats.
