An entry?
When last we left our heroine she was deep in the trenches of life and death. Well, folks, unfortunately I'm still there, kind of. My grandpa, lovingly deemed Poppy, has cancer. We're not sure if it's a death sentence or just a minor discomfort. We're hoping for the minor discomfort. He's going through chemo and the oncologist said that should keep him alive and well. Granted he is 87, but the man has been the pillar of all things healthy forever! This is the first time I've been through this with a family member. Well, there was my great-granma back in '90, but she was 93 and I didn't really grow up knowing her all that well. Poppy, on the other hand, is one of those rare humans that all people actually like. He whistles without knowing it, slaps you hard on the back when he tells a joke, loves to laugh. It's a waiting game... I've been so very tired. Waaaambulance! I got to see two movies this weekend! The Happening and Sex and the City. With the latter I have never seen so many women in one place! It was fabulicious! I adore that show and the movie was great. It's nice to have female friends. One went with me to The Happening as well. We even got to go to an Indian restaurant, too. Yummy! Well, next week I'm off to the lake for fun and hopefully sun (it is Vermont after all...). It will be oh so nice to do no massages for a full week!
so last year - next fad
