Needles and necks
All I can say is that it really pays to know your chiropractor. This morning I got a return call saying that he had no openings in my time frame and I was very sad. I just called and he picked up the phone and "theoretically" he didn't have time. However, being me, he said I could come at 3:30! Yay, I'm so happy. A month ago I got a minor whiplash when my Sensei threw me to the ground. I forgot the all important chin tuck when one is thrown in such a manner and ended up hitting my head on the not-so-soft mat. Ouch. Since then I've had some great massage from my friend who I trade these things with and am ready for an adjustment. Please, before I can't turn my head. Now it will happen and I won't be dizzy anymore. Mind you the throwing was completely voluntary. It was during the test for his fifth degree black belt and his students attacked him one after the other so he could show his sensei self-defense techniques, lovingly termed "Ippon Kumite". Just in case you wanted to know... Griffyn must get some blood drawn from the arm today. His finger prick lead test was a smidge too high and now they need vein blood. This same thing happened last year. You'd think they would just bipass the whole finger prick and sqeezing the finger until it turns purple (damn nurse. She's the one I DETEST! Go mommy!)and go straight for the vein. The man who does the blood draws is amazing, truly a gifted needle pusher. You don't feel a thing, and I'm telling the truth. Very gentle, very quick. Griffyn did just fine last year and I'm hoping he does so again today. Needles to say (spelling error on purpose folks) I'm a bit nervous, but hey, I'm allowed. If you haven't seen "The Brave One", "Eastern Promises" or "Gone Baby Gone" run immediately to your local vid store (or order on Netflix) and watch them. Amazingly great, although a bit rough at times.
so last year - next fad
