Babies?!
Geoffrey told me the other day that he would like to have another baby. This, of course, put me into a mild state of shock since I was under the impression that we were only going to have one. At first I was "oh, that's so sweet" and got all baby silly. But then the next morning, after Griffyn woke me up at 5:45 and then preceeded to be the anti-christ child from "The Omen" I called Geoffrey and said, "you really want another baby?!" I'm not so sure that I want to be pregnant again. He felt that we should start trying next fall, but I'm set to go for my second degree black belt then, so baby would have to at least wait until that was over and done with. No karate testing while pregnant! Again, I'm not so sure about this, but we haven't really gone beyond the initial talk about it. Yes, it would be nice to have a sibling for Griff, but do I really want to go through the whole 0-2 stage again? I guess by the time the baby was born my brain would have forgotton about the sleepless nights, the sore nipples (and my new boobies! What about them?), etc. It's all subject to change I guess. Yesterday my sister and I were going through old pictures of our kids and they were so sweet as babies. They are still sweet, but the babies! So cute and cuddly! We'll just have to see what the year will bring. It would be nice to be settled somewhere that's relatively permanent and have our lives not quite so chaotic. Geoffrey did mention the fact that I could be the stay-at-home, but I'm not so sure that I would want that every day. I love my job and would really like to pursue a certification in structural integration, which isn't cheap. At least my brain isn't freaking out right now and I'm feeling stable and serene. There's only been a few times in the past two days when I teared up over Thea. But that, too, shall fade in time. Okay, off to Burlington. I'm really looking forward to Geoffrey finishing this job so that we can stay down here until we have to move up there...
so last year - next fad
